Day 9: “The Sun”

Materials: Worksheet, PowerPoint, and SmartBoard

Opening: Discuss all of the main components of the sun. Then define these terms in their scientists notebook.

Engagement: The students will be asked to draw a diagram of all of the parts of the sun in their notebook and label all of the parts clearly. They will then be asked to complete and in class assessment of what the know about the sun.

Closing: Complete a worksheet that builds vocabulary and gives and overview of the parts of the sun and finish for homework.
